Since I’ve been so lax in updating the blog with “planned” pictures from the “nice” camera, I figured I’d show you a bit of life that happens on the iPhone.  Here’s a bit of fun, in no particular order, from our life over the last few months.

    Cute baby in a Henley.

Experiencing the pitfalls and victories of crock-pot cooking.

Showing off a brand new haircut.

Learning to color ON PAPER – she already knows how to do it on walls.

DIY Haba Blocks for Berlin’s first birthday.  I took Kade’s Melissa & Doug blocks and Kyle added / modified a few others and then repainted them all to freshen up the look and make them a bit more fun.  I love the look of Haba, just not the price tag.

Falling asleep sitting up, so sweet!

Joe Cool in the grocery store.

Greatest hamburger EVER provides the cutest kid’s toy EVER.

One of my dream houses – ONE DAY, Kyle and I will renovate an old schoolhouse into OUR HOUSE!

Loving life in a the cockpit of a fighter jet.

Sometimes life just gets busy…I know you know what I mean.  It happens to everybody.  When you decide to pick up one thing, something else usually has to be put down for a bit.  I love this blog because it gives me a creative outlet, but in those times when I have to set it down, it just waits for me.  :)   This afternoon, I wanted to pick it up again, even though it will probably be just for a little bit…

I can’t believe we are officially in FALL.  As this is supposedly our semi-scrapbook, here’s the end of our summer in pictures.

    Daddy and his girl.

    A boy and his trains.

    Giggles.

    Lazy summer evenings.

    Splish-splash!

    A few bike trailer rides.

More fun with Dad’s amazing activity table – we love that thing!

Scooting at a million miles an hour – QUICK! make sure that bathroom door is closed!!

    Beautiful smiles!

An amazing dad (and jungle gym).

    Giddy-up!

    Adorable monkeys.

    Energy…lots of energy!

    More trains.

Calling all her friends to tell them she’s graduated to the “big” stroller seat.

Big brothers and little sisters – doesn’t get much better than this.

    Violins made from dowel rods.

    Sweet dreams.

    Bubble baths.

    Her sign for “crackers”.

    Hugs for baby.

Bring on the FALL, we’re ready for it!

Sorry we’ve been on a hiatus lately.  We changed the site’s servers and there were a couple hiccups before everything got up and running like normal.  But we’ve been enjoying ourselves in the mean time.  Summer is my favorite season and this day it felt like it was here in full force.  Whenever it gets above 80 degrees outside, our little house just starts to cook.  So the kids and I decided to cool off in the backyard with finger painting.  It started calmly…peacefully…

    One finger…with just one color…

But what’s the fun in that?

Actually, there’s a lot of fun in that and he enjoyed himself for quite a while designing his own artwork on the table.  But when he was finished, it was actually mom that couldn’t bear the thought of going back inside that stifling hot house and so I suggested that we paint Kade.  I wish you all could have seen his mouth drop open and his eyes just about pop out of his head.  “WHAT!?!” he screeched!

So I painted a face on his back to prove I was really serious and then all hell broke lose and my little painted warrior came to life.

This was one happy little boy – not only were we able to cool off outside that afternoon but also continued to cool off in a much needed bath afterward.

Berlin is so bright eyed lately.  And isn’t that skin so creamy?  I just want to eat it up!  Luckily she loves when Kyle or I attack her neck with kisses, she just can’t stop giggling!

Hmmm…I wonder where she learned this habit?  To this day, Kade will still suck on his forearm if he’s sleepy.  Aren’t those tiny fingers wrapped around a tiny fist one of the cutest things ever?

One of my greatest joys now that I’m the mother of two, is seeing my kids play together.  Kade loves his little sister so much and she adores him, giving him the perfect audience for all of his antics.  What precious faces!
