Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday!  We aren’t out shopping today, instead Black Friday in our house always means decorating the Christmas tree.  But before we dive completely into that holiday, here’s the last of my fall pics of the kiddos.

One of my girlfriends and I took our kids to a local pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins this fall.  Her beautiful baby girl is just two months older than Berlin.  She’s just a doll and it’s so funny to watch my kids interact with her.  Kade loves being a big brother to another one and Berlin is just not too sure she wants to share, especially her wagon.  :)

Yes, I know the skeleton shirt makes her look like a boy (that’s why she’s wearing pink pants!) and that it probably was an outfit that is supposed to have legs…but I just loved it on her.  She’s so darn cute in it!  Plus, I always loved the Karate Kid movie.  (Wax on…wax off)

Aren’t they adorable?  Just chillin’ with elbows hanging out of the wagon.

Kade loved pushing this little wheelbarrow around.  Although the photo op was priceless, I told him he couldn’t actually push his little sis in it.

Happy Belated Halloween Everyone.  Hope you got treated instead of tricked.  I thought I’d put up a few pics of our Pirate and Daisy, hope it makes you smile.

I love costumes!  Especially practically free ones. Somebody gave Kade this Pirate costume in a box of clothes this last summer and so we decided to put it to “official” use this year for Halloween.  The rest of the accessories we got from the Dress Up Box and I even managed to disguise his brown cowboy boots with a pair of Kyle’s black socks and some felt.  Kade really got into the face paint idea and practiced saying “Argh, Matie!” for about two weeks to get into character.  He was not into trick-or-treating this year, though.  Our neighborhood has a little parade for the kids and then after that, you can take your kids trick-or-treating around the block.  Kade didn’t want to.  He said he didn’t need to go ask for candy because we already had candy at home.  I couldn’t really argue with his logic.

This year was Berlin’s first trick-or-treating experience and the girl dove straight in.  I got her costume at a garage sale for a couple bucks this summer.  I thought it was a great deal!  Kyle thought it was pajamas!  Luckily I set him straight before he tried to make her sleep with her head wrapped in petals.  She, as opposed to Kade, LOVED trick-or-treating.  Kyle took her from house to house and not only did she hang onto her goodie bag with a death grip, by the end she had figured out how to take a handful of candy from the person’s bowl and dump it into her own bag.  No shyness problems here!

We were so glad to have a few of our friends and their kids come join us for the parade and trick-or-treating.   With a Pumpkin, Mei, Daisy and a Pirate, we had the best lookin’ crew outa the whole bunch!  Happy Halloween!

Or was that Pirate/Gladiators vs. the Royal Cowboy Dracula?

Or maybe the Pirate/Gladiator was just visiting her doctor for a check up…

Whatever it was, it sure was fun!

Right before we left for Colorado, my best girlfriends and their kids came over to have a pre-holiday-travel get together.  We’ve been hanging out just about every week for the past year to rejoice with, pray for, give advice to, share experiences with, and laugh about each other and our kids.  They are a true blessing to me – providing sanity checks, adult conversation, warm fellowship and delicious food (especially right after Berlin was born).  Girls – I love you and your amazing kids!  Thanks for being a part of our lives!!
