I figured I’d share just a few more pics of our trip to CO.  If I showed you pics of around here it would be piles of towels waiting to be folded, crayons spilled on the floor, dirty dishes in the sink – these are a bit cuter.  :)  Above: Gathering eggs at Aunt Katie’s.

We spent one lazy evening out in the gazebo, listening to locusts and crickets while the kids played with Marmie’s new bubble kit.

Berlin did manage to figure out how to blow a few real bubbles, but the majority of the time the solution was flung around the gazebo or dripped onto her bare toes.  Either way, she was having a blast.

Kade was a pro at blowing, but I think he might have had even more fun chasing the bubbles down to pop them.

It was a perfectly relaxing summer evening, topped off with one of the most glorious and long awaited sites all summer – Thunderheads!  Colorado has been in a terrible drought, causing countless fires where many homes were lost.  The rain was such a welcome site, no one minded putting away the bubbles and going inside to watch the lightening show from the window.

Kyle sent me this last week, and I thought I’d share.  If you like seeing the immense power and awe-inspiring beauty of nature, take a look at these storms, captured by Camille Seaman in the western skies of Nebraska.  I couldn’t help but get homesick for wide open spaces…
