I am SUPER excited to say that Jen, over at I Heart Organizing, has been gracious enough to feature my very own pantry.  My kitchen is now e-famous!  Please stop over there and take a look around, but I must warn you – you’ll probably lose any afternoon productivity as you get lost in the great ideas.

I also wanted to take the opportunity to give you a few more details on the containers I used, since I’ve gotten a lot of questions on them and want you to be able to revamp your own pantry to make it more fun and useful, at the same time.

The red baskets hanging on the pantry door that I use for chips are from IKEA, the Rationell Variera trash basket for $3.99.

The spice board and magnet tins are also from IKEA, Spontan magnetic board ($12.99) and Grundtal containers (3 for $4.99).

The red boxes that hold and hide all the miscellaneous items, you guessed it, from IKEA.  The ones I got were on clearance, but they were similar to these Kassett boxes, only with a window in front (2 for $3.99).

The glass bottles I used for oils and other liquids are from IKEA, Slom bottle with stopper for $3.99.

The clear divided containers that I used for nuts, also from IKEA (I should buy stock).  Krus jar with lid for $4.99.  The dividers come out so you can choose to use them or not, plus makes cleaning easier.

My can organizer (which I love!), I got off Amazon.  It was this one, ignore the poor item images and just know that it’s great…super sturdy!  You will love it.

Lastly, the matching red Tupperware-esque containers were NOT from IKEA.  :)  I bought these off Amazon, then found them cheaper in the store and returned the Amazon ones because I still saved money, even after paying return shipping!  They are Rubbermaid and I used 2 of these, 2 of these and 4 of these.

I hope this helps you in your search and inspires some organization in your neck of the woods.  Organizing – it does a body good!  Thanks again, to I Heart Organizing.  If you haven’t before, please stop by and take a look around.

I love your commercial for IKEA. If only the rest of the world had them! We are now only 2 hours away from one. :) It looks great and I know it works too.

Awesome Lucretia! After your original post I went out and bought a bunch more jars and containers to help organize my pantry too. It was awesome. I just lack the super cute labels!
Congrats on your post being featured in I Heart Organising!

argghh!! i am so disappointed today –

so I checked back on your post to find out if you have replied on where & how much you bought those magnetic boards and so it led me to this awesome post of yours..and so i checked those magnetic boards at ikea so i can get one and this is what i saw:

“Sorry, this product is not for sale on our website, check if it is available in your local store.”

and what makes it even worse – i live in Indiana and we don’t have an ikea!!!

    i am so sad :(

thank you so much for your answer though – i will try to get this magnetic board somewhere – wish me luck!

I just finished reading the post on IheartOrganizing (love her blog)…And what a great organizational idea you have planted in my brain! I have already taken tomorrow off of work and was going to work on my office area in my basement (you see we moved into our new house 2 years ago this month and I am still working out of boxes)…However now that I have seen your post my actions are going to be mixed up a little…My food panrty happens to be in the basement so I am going to include it in on the fun! I think what I will do is hit the yard sales on Saturday am looking for some fun baskets and other items and see what kind of trouble I can come up with…

Thanks again and have a wondeful weekend!

congrats on all the blog hits sis! very happy for you :)
and yes your pantry and organizational skills continue to inspire me – someday i will be organized. I keep telling myself that hoping that if I repeat it enough times, wearing the right pair of shoes, all while clicking my heels, that it will come true… so far no luck but I’ll keep you posted :)

So glad you got inspired, Karie! Let me know how the basement and pantry project go this weekend. Would love to see after pics. :) Good luck with the yard sales!

Smart Momma! That is so disheartening. Maybe you could pick up the metal at an office supply store? Home Depot? It’s basically just a metal board, the tins are the more crucial part of the setup since their magnets are SO strong. Good luck!

Erica, I’ve been a lurker on your blog for ages and have been so inspired by your homeschool ideas! It seems like some crazy small world that you’ve found mine in all this. Thanks for stopping in! You’re gonna love the can organizer. :)

I LOVE your Pantry re-do!! I found you on Iheartorganizing!!

I also love your Silhoutte vinyl labels! Have you washed your containers with the labels on them yet? I’m curious if the vinyl labels will remove easily or hold up when washed?
Also how did you make your labels on the cameo, did you use a specific file or
Design them yourself? And is that clear vinyl you used?

I’m in the middle of reorganizing my craft room, the pantry will be next so cute & functional labels are a must. :)

    Thanks so much!
    Shannon

Hi Shannon, Thanks for reading, in response to your questions…I haven’t submerged the containers in water, only wiped them clean when necessary. It’s a very light adhesive on the vinyl, almost a static type cling so I don’t know if they would hold up to a good wash. The design I used was just one of the freebies that I cut apart and stretched and played with to get it to what I liked. The only vinyl I used was the red, no clear. Good luck on the craft room! I’d love to see pics as I’m currently in the process of turning our guest room into a craft/school room.
